Electives

These electives have been taken by MSE and MSIT-SE students in the past. THIS IS NOT AN ALL-INCLUSIVE LIST, JUST AN EXAMPLE OF THE TYPES OF COURSES OTHER MSE STUDENTS HAVE TAKEN.

For a description of elective courses, refer to Policies for Electives.

Current course listings can be found at https://acis.as.cmu.edu/open/servlet/SOC.

In addition, students can choose an Independent Study option in a specific subject area.  A detailed proposal for independent study, outlining the student's project and deliverable particulars, must be completed and signed by the instructor supervising the project.  Please see Independent Study for examples of past proposal submissions.
