1999 MSE alumni Pedro Pinto and Stuart Locklear open Silicon Valley Quarksoft office

Pedro Pinto and Stuart Locklear (MSE 1999) announce the opening of the Silicon Valley offices of Quarksoft. Quarksoft, a software development company founded in 2001 by fellow MSE alumni Cesar Montes de Oca and Ricardo Vidrio (MSE 2000), has operated profitably for five years in Mexico. In the US, Quarksoft provides a unique offering: the quality associated with the CMU background combined with the cost advantage of having engineers based in Mexico.

Quarksoft makes extensive use of the MSE curriculum: PSP/TSP, CMM, architecture description models, Studio mentoring, and more. The company was awarded the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) CMMi level 3 in 2004. For more information on the company, its mission, and the founders, check them out at : www.quarksoftllc.com
