The MSIT-SEM program is designed for managers and aspiring managers. Students will be those who wish to manage in software development organizations or in a broader array of organizations where they will effectively acquire, integrate, and manage software.

Applicant Prerequisites
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least five years of work experience in a management position or in an information technology/software development position. Applicants will be required to submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination, a transcript of their baccalaureate degree, and evidence of professional experience.

Randal Bryant
Dean, Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science
Randal Bryant has been on the faculty at Carnegie Mellon since 1984, starting as an Assistant Professor and progressing to his current rank of University Professor of Computer Science. He also holds a courtesy appointment in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Dr. Bryant’s research focuses on methods for formally verifying digital hardware, and more recently some forms of software. Dr. Bryant has received widespread recognition for his work. He is a fellow of the IEEE and the ACM, as well as a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
