MSE Programs partners with University of Queensland

Carnegie Mellon University announced a new partnership with Boeing Corporation and the University of Queensland to deliver Australia's first Master of (Software) Engineering program. To be delivered in a distance learning environment, this collaboration will address Australia's issue of a critical shortage of qualified software engineers.

Acknowledging a steep decline in professionals entering the information and communications technology fields, the University of Queensland is targeting working professionals who are eager to upgrade the skills necessary for designing and operating complex software systems. The first course will launch on July 23, 2007.
